TUITION AND POLICES


Tuition

Tuition is based off an 18 week semester. We offer 2 semesters, August-December and January-May.

Semester tuition payments are split into 5 installments, due on the 1st of the month.  

We do not send monthly invoices, please check your online studio account for amounts due.

**We DO NOT pro-rate for missed classes due to illness, personal conflicts and/or weather related closings.

Price Break Down:

30 min = $10 per class (2/$20, 3/$30, 4/$40)

45 min = $15 per class (2/$30, 3/$45, 4/$60)

1 hour = $18 per class (2/$36, 3/$54, 4/$72)

1.5 hour = $22.50 per class (2/$45, 3/$67.50, 4/$90)

**Tuition is charged per month according to how many classes we offer within that month.

**Company tuition is based off the full year (36 weeks)

Registration Fees and Procedure

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $30 (per family) required once a year. 

Registration Fees are due upon enrollment for all new and returning students.

It is recommended that parents register their students through our online portal.  By creating an online account all of your dancer's class information and charges are always available right at your fingertips.  A signed registration form, liability waiver and payment must be received prior to the student entering class.  Monthly tuition payments can be made online (3.5% convenience is applied) or directly to studio via cash or check.  We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have 5 or more students enrolled. You will receive a credit that can be used toward another class; credit must be used by the end of that semester.

 

Trial Class

Trial classes are available for $10 per class; payment is due prior to the class. A completed and signed registration form is needed for all trial classes.  Please contact the front office for scheduling.

Late Fee/Returned Check Fee

A late fee of $20 will automatically be charged if payment is not received by the 10th of the month.   There will be a charge of $35 for any returned checks.

Multi-Class Discount/Family Discount

Students registered in more than one class will receive a multi-class discount.  The multi-class discount is 10% and is only available to non-company members.  Family discounts are available to families from the same household with more than one child attending classes.  The family discount is 10% and is only available to non-company members.  (Punch card is excluded from all offers)

Student Absence/Make-up Policy

If a student misses a class due to illness or personal conflict, the parent must contact the studio via phone call, (317) 564-4644 or email, info@alistdancecenter.com.  Make-up classes are allowed at the student's level or below, and must be scheduled in advance by filling out a Make-up Class Form.  All make-up classes must be approved by a director.  There is a limit of 2 make-up classes per semester and there is no carry-over of make-ups between the semesters.

Weather Related Closings

In the event of inclement weather or poor road conditions, classes may be cancelled.  We will post cancellations ​​​on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), also please check with the studio before driving to class. We do not credit or refund for weather related closings. 

Performances

We have 2 recreational performances each year.  First one is TreeFest at Warren PAC in November, usually the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Classes are invited to perform holiday themed dances with a minimal costume requirement.  The second is our spring recital at the end of the dance year, usually the beginning of June.  An additional recital fee will be charged in January.  This is a separate payment not included in your tuition.  All fees and information pertinent to each performance will be provided.

Class Attire

It is very important for students to dress appropriately for dance class.  Each dancer is responsible for providing their own dancewear and shoes.  It is recommended that students bring a dance bag for all of their shoes and belongings; bags may be left in the break room during class.  Please label all shoes with your name.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

*For all Ballet classes students are to wear any solid color leotard and pink tights with hair in a neat bun.  NO EXCEPTIONS

*For all Hip Hop classes students are to wear comfortable clothing and clean tennis shoes.  Hair must be pulled back and completely off the face and shoulders.

*For all other classes students are to wear a leotard, tights, dance shorts, or bra tops.  No street clothes will be permitted in class.  Hair must be pulled back and completely off the face and shoulders.

You can find a complete list of shoe requirements for each class by visiting Kinney Dancewear.  They have 2 locations here in town and will be able to provide you with all styles, colors and sizes.  They also have a large selection of dance wear for all of your dancer's needs.  We do not recommend purchasing tap shoes from Target or Payless as they have extremely poor sound quality.

Studio Etiquette

Dancers need to arrive at the studio dressed and ready no later than 5 minutes prior to your class time.  No students will be permitted in class if they are more than 15 minutes late.  Please do not leave belongings on chairs in the lobby, we ask you place them in the designated cubby area or under the benches or chairs.  Also, it is the parent’s responsibility to be prompt when picking up their child after class.  All dancers should wait inside the studio while waiting to be picked up.  The studio closes at 9:00pm each evening.  We ask you respect the needs of our employees by being on time.  In the event of an emergency please contact the studio. A-List Dance Center and its employees cannot be held responsible for watching children after classes.  No food or drinks will be allowed into the studios, water bottles are the exception.  There is a designated break room for students to eat and drink in.  You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself.  Gum is not allowed in the building.  If you are wearing street shoes for a class, please make sure you don’t wear them outside.  We have a lost and found bin located in the break room, but these items are only held on to for a limited time.  Please check the bin periodically; items left behind will be donated to Good Will.

Disciplinary Action

If your student is being disruptive during class we will take the following actions:

     1. Verbal Warning.

     2. Sent out of class and a phone call will be made for a child to be sent home.

The 2nd time a child has been sent out of class for any reason they will be permanently removed from that class.
